The Alimera Sciences Clinical Account Specialist develops business relationships with Retina practices (including Retina Specialists, Nurses, Technicians and Practice Administrators), in their assigned territories, to drive the awareness and sales of ILUVIEN® across the target hospitals/clinics and among the Ophthalmologist/Retinal Specialist target groups (and any other defined target groups) within the Territory. The Clinical Sales Specialist develop's brand awareness within the defined target groups and wider healthcare community within territory.

In this field based position, the Reimbursement Account Specialist will report to the Director of Reimbursement. The RAS will be the field subject matter expert relating to billing and coding education and responsible for the management of practice level reimbursement and access for ILUVIEN. The RAS will help support ILUVIEN reimbursement through the development of relationships with Practice Administrators/Managers, Billing Managers/staff and regional thought leaders. In addition, the RAS will work closely with the ILUVIEN Reimbursement Hub, AccessPlus, to provide comprehensive support and assistance to physician practices and institutional accounts for coverage, reimbursement and access guidance for ILUVIEN case management. The RAS will work directly with the Regional Sales Director and Sales team to develop action plans to prioritize and maximize optimal access across sales regions. The RAS will also collaborate closely with the Payer Relations Director team regarding local and regional coverage and policy decisions, resolution of payer related issues, and specialty pharmacy access within the assigned geography. In addition, these positions will provide critical competitive intelligence on business trends within key accounts and coverage trends with local, regional and national payers. The ultimate goal of the position is to maximize reimbursement confidence for ILUVIEN, minimize ILUVIEN access barriers and promote/implement various programs and services to supplement the field sales force and management efforts.
The Research & Development Associate will be responsible for receiving, documenting and responding to scientific inquiries regarding marketed products as well as tracking, filing, and maintaining clinical research documentation for ongoing and upcoming clinical trials. The individual would work closely with Medical Information but also gain significant exposure with Clinical Operations as a supporting member of the R&D team. We are seeking a motivated individual with health care background to communicate scientific information in written and verbal format, maintain the Med Info database, and generate reports on a monthly basis.
Additionally, the individual will work with Clinical Operations to provide administrative support during all stages of the clinical trial process. The individual would be responsible for updating and maintaining the Trial Master Files (TMF) as well as utilizing tracking and organizational tools to perform Quality Assurance (QA) of the TMF and ensure that the TMF remains compliant with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. This individual will also contribute to defining the processes for maintaining the TMF.
The MSL is responsible for integrating scientific expertise and knowledge to identify and liaise with physicians. The MSL will serve as the medical affairs expert by providing in-depth scientific, clinical, and educational support to the medical community. The MSL will develop and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL). The MSL will function as the primary conduit for Medical Affairs communications and interactions to their specified KOLs within their assigned territory. The MSL is expected to provide support to internal business objectives including those of Medical Affairs, R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development. Each MSL is expected to have an in-depth understanding of Ophthalmology, specifically Retinal therapy, as it pertains scientifically and medically to Diabetic Macula Edema (DME) and the clinical application of ILUVIEN. The position will report to a MSL Director .
